From its beginnings in a converted garage on the sunshine coast, Bush Essentials Skincare Products are now being recognised on a world scale for their natural healing properties.
Founded by Pauline Clarke in May 2005, Bush Essentials started out as a Body Scrub product formulated using Australian Sea Salts and Pure Essentials Oils.
Pauline demonstrated and sold the Body Scrub herself at various country markets.
Last year the company moved into its new plant at Kunda Park and has filled its second batch of export orders for the U.K.

For Pauline Clarke, the success of the company has come as a welcome surprise. "I wanted to create something special and I enjoy working and using my business skills in an innovative way". Ms Clarke says, "I wanted to produce a natural beauty product that went back to basics using Traditional Australian Recipes. There is no need for all the complex and chemical ingredients that are used in skincare products nowadays and sometimes the old recipes passed down through the generations are the best."
Pauline claims that she selected natural essentials oils and ingredients based on their ancient healing properties and moisturisation. She then adapted and refined the product to use pure, natural and, as much as possible, Australian ingredients.

As well as conquering the British market, Bush Essentials has its sights set on Scandinavia - a region known for its perfect-skinned natives. "We will start by targeting regional markets, craft fairs and local community events and grow distribution form a local grassroots network," Pauline says.
